Kym is a co-director and consultant of Trust Nature FNQ. He is also director of FreeRange Permaculture and has been instrumental in bringing world-leaders within regenerative agriculture to deliver courses to the farming community of Far North QLD through the Federal Government's FarmReady Scheme.

He was also the co-founder and inaugural President of Permaculture Cairns. FreeRange Permaculture's School Garden program has become a leader in sustainability education for future generations in the Far North. The program currently run at the Flexible Learning Centre in Cairns was recently recognized by Queensland Education with The Showcase Award for Excellence in Inclusive Education.

He is also the co-founder of the Regenerative Agriculture Group, delivering leading farm education through a workshop series with world-leading innovators in Regenerative Agriculture. The 2010 RegenAG Workshop Series is the start of a longer and broader project whose objective is to Regenerate Agriculture's Soils, Profits and Community.

Kym holds a Permaculture Design Certificate and is currently developing Rosella Waters, a Permaculture demonstration site with his wife and business partner Georgie Kruse
